Dr. Janie Wilson earned her Engineering degree from Queen's University, and completed her M.Sc and PhD in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Dalhousie University. She joined the Faculty at Dalhousie University where she was Co-Director of the Dynamics of Human Dynamics Lab, with the focus of her research on biomechanical and statistical modeling of human movement mechanics in osteoarthritis development, progression, and end stage treatment with knee arthroplalsty surgery with a recent emphasis on surgical navigation mechanics. Dr. Wilson has plans to develop a similar research program at McMaster University, including participating in orthopaedic research, teaching, and training in Biomedical Engineering.
