Faculty

The Division of Ophthalmology strives to create a harmonious and constructive learning environment for medical students and residents alike. With recent expansion of the residency program to now accepting two residents per year, the Division is moving towards greater presence both nationally and internationally, with initiatives supporting excellence in clinical and surgical teaching, research and international experiences, and leadership skills development.

Overview

We provide ophthalmic service to adults at the Community Health Centre in Stoney Creek and to children at the MUMC site.  All of the subspecialty areas of ophthalmology are represented.  We have shown substantial growth in the last five years.

We are committed to teaching and have a spectrum of programs aimed at undergraduate medical students, residents and fellows.

Research is another area in which we are growing.  We emphasize research in our residency program and strive for excellence in this area.

I invite you to take the time to browse through our website and gather more information about our faculty, educational programs and research. I hope that the experience is informative and encourages you to visit our facility and contact our faculty.
