Professionalism

"Professionalism" is developed through modeling by faculty, and by discussion of various elements of behaviours with residents, as examples arise in aspects of patient care, interactions with colleagues, practice management, and professional development.  Self-assessment and the ability to recognize and acknowledge one’s limitations are emphasized.  Residents are observed in daily interactions to ensure behaviours are in keeping with the ethical standards and responsibilities of a professional physician.
