Dr. Ghert appointed as deputy editor for bone & joint research

MacOrtho is pleased to announce that Dr. Michelle Ghert has been appointed Deputy Editor for Bone & Joint Research.

Dr. Ghert participated in a competitive application process for the role of Editor-in-Chief of Bone and Joint Research. She was invited to London, England as one of five shortlisted candidates. Following her interview, she was offered the position of Deputy Editor, to work closely in leading the journal with the new Editor-in-Chief, Professor Hamish Simpson from Edinburgh.

Bone & Joint Research (BJR) is published by the British Editorial Society of Bone and Joint Surgery (publishers of Bone and Joint Journal, formerly JBJS Br), and is a gold open access journal dedicated exclusively to publishing research related to disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their treatment. The journal aims to provide rapid publication of research across a range of disciplines in the musculoskeletal sciences and in the clinical areas of orthopaedics and rheumatology, through a continuous publication model. BJR considers a wide range of research study types. Suitable study types fall broadly into clinical studies and translational laboratory studies (where there is a clear relevance to the treatment of disorders in humans). BJR is indexed in PubMed Central.

Publishing BJR as an open access journal brings authors' work to the attention of the global musculoskeletal research community and beyond. It provides rapid publication and all articles published in BJR are referenced in BJJ, bringing them to the attention of top researchers in the field instantly.
