Dr. Ydo Kleinlugtenbelt Successfully Defends his PhD thesis
MacOrtho is pleased to announce that former MacOrtho fellow Dr. Ydo Kleinlugtenbelt successfully defended his PhD thesis on Wednesday September 27. Dr. Kleinlugtenbelt’s thesis was titled “Research Methodology in Distal Radius Fracture Care: 1 Step Backward, 2 Steps Forward” and was supervised by Drs. Mohit Bhandari, Rudolf Poolman, and Carel Goslings.
Kim Madden represented MacOrtho at the thesis defence held in Amsterdam last week. She says: “Dr. Kleinlugtenbelt’s thesis takes a close look at the methodology used in distal radius fracture studies and contributes to improving research in that area. It is an impressive collection of studies that will hopefully draw attention to some key methodological issues like validity of patient-reported outcome measures, reliability of classification systems, and spectrum bias in distal radius fracture research.”
Congratulations to Dr. Kleinlugtenbelt!
