The McMaster Pediatric Surgery Research Collaborative (MPSRC) held its 6th Annual Intern Research Presentation Night on March 18th, 2019. The MPSRC Internship Program gives 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students the opportunity to gain valuable clinical research experience with the Department of Pediatric Urology and Pediatric General Surgery. During the Presentation Night, interns were able to showcase their research while competing for “Best Presentation.”
All five interns delivered exceptional and engaging presentations on a variety of different topics. Grace Zhou took home the big award for her presentation on “Screening for alcohol and substance use in pediatric trauma patients: A retrospective chart review.” Congratulations to all of our interns on a successful evening! A big thank you to the surgeons, fellows, research personnel and interns for attending!
If you wish to take part in this opportunity, applications are currently open until April 1st for the 2019-2020 year at https://surgery.mcmaster.ca/divisions/pediatric-surgery/research/mpsrc/mpsrc-internship-program.
