This module is to help all new employees become accustomed to office supply use and other common practices within the Department of Surgery.

8.1 Voicemail

8.2 Fax Machines and Photocopiers

8.3 Confidential Waste Disposal

Please see the following document for information on acceptable confidential waste disposal , applicable to all Hamilton Health Sciences sites. 

8.4 Dress Guideline

Although McMaster University does not have an official dress code in place for its employees, the Department of Surgery has its own strict dress code policy in effect. Please see the following document to understand what is acceptable and unacceptable in terms of attire when working for the Department of Surgery:

8.5 Parking

Please see the following document for information on where to park and how to obtain a parking spot/pass at each of the Department of Surgery sites.

8.6 Canada Post 

If you are sending anything to Canada Post with interoffice mail pickup, you MUST include a COP account # on the outside of the package, whether from SJH or HHS sites. You can either bundle things together to send with the account # or put the account # on each individual package.
